Why we only ever see one side of the moon?🤔
</ Physics learner
The moon orbits the earth in such a way that it always shows the same side to us. We didn't get our first glimpse of the far side-often mistakenly called "dark side" until a probe photographed it in 1959.
What happen if earth didn't have the moon?
Life on this planet would be a lot of different. Earths moon has a loomed large in our lives since ancient times. It's orbit around Earth inspired our calendar month. It's gravitional pull tugs earth oceans(and large lakes) into daily cycle of high and low side. The moon might even affect how to toss and turn at night (one study showed that people sleep worse during full moon). In fact, scientists suspect our satellite's stabilising affect on Earth's wobble and climates helped life evolve here. Without moon, there might not have been people here to appreciate it.
Silly question.
Do people really think the moon is made up of green cheese? 🙃
Not unless they're really easy to fool. Our moons supposedly cheesy composition originated in a 16th century expression that no one ever took seriously. That didn't stop NASA from sharing a photo of moon with an expiration date in one of the creators as an April Fool's joke in 2002.
Thank you. >
