Why some day advance sunrise or sunset appear
In some morning sun appear to be advance
You can easily understand by the picture
Is it he really rise advance,no it's just a appearance we mean the actual crossing of the horizon by the sun is sunrise or set but by refraction process it occure.
The refractive index of air with respect to vacuum is 1.00029 due to this the apparent shift in the direction of the sun is by about half a degree.
The apparent flattening(oval shape) of the sun at sunrise or set is also for same reason.
